JEEP® BRAND AND HARLEY-DAVIDSON® TOGETHER AT THE 21ST EUROPEAN BIKE WEEK

  • Jeep® and Harley-Davidson will team up again for European Bike Week - the finale of the main European Harley-Davidson events.
  • The new Jeep Cherokee will be there; the next generation of Jeep's mid-sized SUV, now featuring a refreshed style, advanced connectivity and premium safety and technology.
  • For the first time, the new Cherokee can be put through its paces in exclusive customer test drives together with all-new Jeep Wrangler and the new 2019 Jeep Renegade.
  • Visitors will be able to see the new Renegade customised with an array of accessories from the Mopar® catalogue.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Jeep® brand will be among the main sponsors of European Bike Week, the continent's largest motorcycling event and biggest gathering of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts. The event will take place around the stunning Lake Faak in the Austrian Alps from today (4 September) until 9 September.

Now in its 21st year, the event will offer a party atmosphere, with top bands appearing live on stage and riders from across the world enjoying the chance to ride the area's thrilling Alpine passes.

And visitors will have the chance to swap two wheels for four as the Jeep brand adds to the excitement with an action-packed programme, including thrilling test drives of its latest models on specially constructed obstacle courses and off-road trails.

The event again underlines the strong relationship between Jeep and Harley-Davidson following the extension last year of Jeep's role as a key partner and official sponsor of Harley-Davidson's main events and rallies throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The prestigious partnership between the two American icons, is based on the shared values of authenticity, passion, freedom and a sense of belonging. It also plays on the reputation of both brands for producing vehicles that can be customised to reflect their owners' creativity and individuality.

These synergies will be reaffirmed as the iconic Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Renegade will lead the massive parade of motorcycles that opens the celebrations of the European Bike Week.

Star of this year's event though will be the new Jeep Cherokee - the evolution of the market's most capable mid-sized SUV - and a model that's just as comfortable with the demands of modern city living as it is with adventures off the beaten track.

Appearing in the brand's test drive area, the Cherokee features a refreshed design that projects the premium personality of the brand yet stays true to iconic Jeep styling. It has a new fascia with LED lights, signature 'waterfall' hood with a new lightweight aluminium structure and a new tailgate for a contemporary and distinctive look.

Inside, there's an array of user-friendly technologies for more comfort, connectivity and occupant protection while superior quality materials and craftsmanship show a real attention to detail.

The new Jeep Cherokee - the next generation of the brand's capable mid-sized SUV - will be available for customer test drives alongside the new 2019 Renegade, the new Wrangler, Compass and Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

Additional Jeep activity will include an exciting virtual reality experience of the new Renegade and Compass at the Jeep Lounge in Harley Village that will allow visitors to discover the main features of the two most popular SUVs in Jeep's European line-up.

2019 Jeep Renegade by Mopar®

Visitors to the event will also be able to view a new Jeep Renegade customised with more than 130 original accessories developed by Mopar®, the FCA brand dedicated to aftersales products and services. These accessories have been developed to help owners enhance both the off-road character and urban personality of their vehicle.

The 2019 Jeep® Renegade with Alpine White exterior on display on the Mopar stand boasts eye-catching 19-inch alloy wheels, combined with valve caps with Jeep logo, a hood decal with captivating camouflage graphics, satin gray front grille and mirror caps.

There are also a series of Subshine Gray accessories fitted, including the rear scuff plate, front dam and interior trim. Many accessories can be factory fitted thanks to the innovative Mopar Custom Shop.

The off-road character of the vehicle is reasserted by the Jeep® Performance Parts badge which identifies those Original Accessories specially developed by Mopar to ensure maximum protection and benchmark performance. These include transmission skid plates, rock rails and special off-road pedals. Side mouldings and rear splash guards complete the exterior customization.

There are also plenty of functional accessories, such as the handy cargo area tray and the all-weather rubber floor mats for comfort and protection. Removable roof bars can be used to support a surfboard carrier to take the favourite sports anywhere.
